WILD SIDE is the first product of LEGIT DESIGN, a product of bass tournament oriented. Our founder Iitaka Hirofumi and Onikata Takeshi who were designed many famous product series for international brands in their past career life. For pursuing their dream to make ideal brand and products, therefore they established LEGIT DESIGN.
When developing high standard bass rod, most focusing thing is light weight. High- end products use high cost material for maintain strength and lighter weight for blank, to result in high product price, so angler can’t afford it. In addition, to lighter the rod weight is the most easy way to influence angler’s perception (hold in hand then feel it), therefore, light weight is very focusing from sales as well as development perspective.
However, what LEGIT DESIGN focusing is how to enhance fishing rod’s total performance, because the ideal rod is not only about weight and thin. So when we developed the WILD SIDE, we tried and tested all the possible combinations to come out the optimized result, therefore created a high quality and performance blank.
